What is this safari about?
This safari takes guests along the walking trails of Northern Tuli, as well as Mashatu Game Reserve to cover between eight to 20 kilometers (five to 12 miles) per day, depending on the fitness level of guests.
The fully catered wilderness trails are bespoke, but usually run over three days / four nights – we can accommodate shorter or longer duration trails, subject to camp availability.
Accommodation is at two rustic permanent camps – Serolo or Mohave – or at the trail’s camp out in the wilderness. Backpack trails are also available. Two experienced professional rangers accompany you on the trails.
Due to the heat, this safari is only recommended from March to October.
Who can go?
- Small groups, with minimum of two and maximum of eight guests.
- Children must be at least 16 years old to participate
Where is this?
The Northern Tuli Game Reserve is located on the east side of Botswana, bordering on South Africa and Zimbabwe and on the banks of the Limpopo River.
What should I expect to pay?
USD $325 per night, per person, sharing. The cost is fully inclusive other than drinks.
What Extensions do you recommend?
For some pampering after the walking safari we suggest a two night stay at the luxurious and close by Mashatu Tented Camp.
For the serial trail walkers there are similar experiences in the Greater Kruger Park South Africa, or in Northern Botswana.
Many of the other safariFRANK safari components can also be linked.
