Bush Camping and Walking in Hwange

What is this safari about?

Hwange Bush Camp is a seasonal, semi-permanent camp offering exceptional game viewing right in the heart of the African bush.

Situated in the remote northern section of Hwange, the camp sits in the hilly countryside of Deteema Dam. Visitors to the area will be delighted by the scenic diversity found at the Robins Area with its huge open grass lands, natural springs and pumped water points. Game viewing activities include drives in open safari vehicles and guided walks with the camp’s professional guides, ensuring visitors are treated to a grass roots experience of the region which is both exciting and educational.

Nestled under a canopy of large trees, the Bush Camp caters for a maximum of 12 guests in six spacious and tastefully decorated twin bedded Meru tents. Each has its own private en-suite facilities which include flush toilets and a bush shower with hot water available upon request.

The camp is open each year from 1st May to 31st November and a fly camping option is also on offer for the more adventurous!
