Tulela is an exclusive-use safari lodge offering a comfortable and luxurious getaway for families and friends looking to retreat to a private location in the Greater Kruger Park.

Tulela truly embodies a place of peace lying beneath mature, indigenous trees that bring songful birdlife and the gentle whisper of rustling leaves to everyday life. Nestled right on a bend in the seasonal N’tsiri River, the bedrooms gaze out at quietly passing wildlife and onto a busy waterhole beyond.

The setting of the lodge gives guests a place to relax comfortably and connect with their wild and wonderful surroundings, reawakening a connection to nature. The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is a protected wilderness and cherishes a low tourism density, offering a private and personalised wildlife experience.

Tulela has its very own “amphitheatre” which invites wildlife to drink at a waterhole positioned in full view of the lodge, so that you can sit back, relax, and watch as nature’s stories unfold around you.

The five-bedroomed lodge is designed to reflect the natural colours and textures of the surrounding bush, while offering a high level of luxury and comfort to guests. A spacious central living area welcomes festive mealtimes under the trees, fireside chatter after dark, and playful afternoons in the rim-flow swimming pool, which has an uninterrupted view of the waterhole.

A fully furnished kitchen, easily accessible fridges and a coffee bar offer refreshments at any time, while a private chef will prepare meals according to your schedule. Tulela is equipped with top-of-the-range amenities and products to make guests’ experience as pleasurable as possible.

Tulela can host 10 guests in five luxurious appointed bedrooms, two of which have an interleading door and double as a family suite. Three are positioned overlooking the riverbed and two have a view of the waterhole.

All the light and spacious rooms have four-poster king-sized beds, which are convertible to twins. In-room amenities include a cupboard, dressing table, air-conditioning, and ceiling fans. Each room leads into an en-suite bathroom with double vanity, indoor shower and bathtub, and an outdoor shower in a space shared by green plants with open sky and trees overhead.
