Splash Camp

Located in the private Kwara Reserve, Splash Camp offers guests the chance to experience the best of the Okavango Delta. With an expert guide, you can explore networks of pristine water channels by mokoro or traverse the African bush in a 4×4 to check off your wildlife bucket list.  

Find Splash Camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the private Kwara Reserve. This area has long been known as Splash due to the huge water crossings that had to be negotiated to access the camp area. Access to Splash Camp is by light aircraft to Kwara airstrip, which is a 30-minute flight from Maun. It is then a 45-minute drive from the airstrip to the camp. 

This brand-new, all-inclusive camp offers a very relaxed, friendly and authentic atmosphere. Children under the age of six are welcome with exclusive bookings of Splash Camp. 

Experience & Activities     

Kwara Reserve shares a 30km water boundary with the famous Moremi Game Reserve. This unique location boasts both permanent water and seasonal flood plains and extensive dry bush wilderness. Favoured by labyrinths of permanent water channels and secret islands, this area offers the perfect delta experience and is considered among the best in Botswana for game viewing and activities. 

Guest activities include game drives, mokoro excursions, boat cruises, and seasonal fishing and walking safaris, each led by a professional guide. From August to December, there are also excursions to nearby heronries, which guests and guides can reach by cruising along the main boating channel. 

The main area has a plunge pool, bar, lounge, orientation centre, and curio shop. The fire pit is the heart of the camp, and here a light breakfast is served each day before heading off on activities, and guests can swap safari stories after supper.

Accommodations    

Splash Camp comprises 12 tented rooms, two of which are spacious family suites. Each private guest room is built on a raised deck to amplify the surrounding views. Inside, rooms feature twin or king-sized beds, indoor and outdoor showers, and comfortable seating areas.  

For small groups or families of six or more people, the exclusive use Splash Enclave acts as a camp within a camp, complete with its own plunge pool, dining area, lounge, bar, and private activities. Perfect for a family escape in the bush.
