Pom Pom Camp

Take a 25-minute scenic flight from Maun to discover Pom Pom Camp, located on the western boundary of Moremi Game Reserve in the famed Okavango Delta. Here, nine luxury Meru-style safari tents overlook a glistening lagoon, attracting wildlife and animals every season.  

The all-inclusive Pom Pom Camp is nestled under a canopy of trees and makes an idyllic base to explore the vast Okavango Delta. Set beside a permanent lagoon, Pom Pom Camp allows guests to get closer to nature with water and land-based activities that promise exceptional sightings and a unique safari experience in Botswana.  

You’ll find a cozy bar, lounge, and dining area for delicious meals prepared by our safari chefs in the main thatched building. Outside, guests can cool off in the camp’s swimming pool. 

Experience & Activities      

Pom Pom Camp offers safari activities, including 4WD safaris, mokoro trips, fishing and walking safaris accompanied by an armed guide. Morning and evening game drives with qualified guides are an opportunity to view big game and the elusive nocturnal wildlife that this breathtaking environment can offer. A mokoro trip is a fantastic way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Okavango’s waterways and wildlife, while boating and fishing experiences are available seasonally. 

For an exclusive experience, guests can book a private game vehicle for the duration of their visit. A private vehicle is compulsory for families with children 6 to 11 years old. For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 are not permitted on mokoro trips, and nature walks are at the guides’ discretion. 

Accommodations     

Pom Pom Camp’s luxury safari tents are built on elevated wooden platforms to offer serene natural views. Each tent features ensuite showers and flush toilets; the bathrooms are enclosed for privacy and security. 

Standard Tent: Pom Pom Camp consists of nine luxury safari style tents furnished with ensuite, semi-open bathrooms. The tents are uniquely positioned under the shade of the surrounding trees that overlook the Pom Pom lagoon. 

Family Tent: The family safari tent is close to the main lodge and accommodates four guests (two adults and two children), with ensuite facilities. 

Honeymoon Chalet: This intimate tent features an outdoor bath with a scenic backdrop in addition to the outside shower. It is also located furthest from the central guest area for more privacy.
