MalaMala Rattray’s Camp is the epitome of classic style and good taste. Each luxurious, freestanding suite boasts spectacular views of the Sand River. Guests can spot wildlife while taking a dip in the private plunge pool, cooling off in the outdoor shower or enjoying a massage on the deck. 

Highlights include a beautifully appointed library containing rare African books and magnificent works of art, an elegant, African-themed air-conditioned dining room, and a historic bar featuring photographs of the early days of this unique area and its pioneers. 

Activities include Big Five viewing, bird watching, game drives, game walks, safaris, and wildlife tours.

At MalaMala Rattray’s Camp, wildlife safaris are the number one priority. A maximum of only four guests per safari vehicle is the norm, and a flexible operation ensures your adventures into the bush will be intimate and unforgettable. An experienced and proficient ranger will serve as your guide and host, offering a level of service second to none. 

Guests can browse the safari boutique for quality clothing, jewellery and artefacts and enjoy a fully-equipped gym. Enjoy sumptuous meals in various locations, including the boma, the deck, the dining room, or the privacy and comfort of your own suite.

• Luxury Suite: Each suite functions as an inclusive home, with hand-selected furnishings, lavish his-and-hers bathrooms, and outdoor and indoor dining areas for intimate dining. Outside, enjoy a private outdoor shower and a heated plunge pool built into the verandah with grand river views. Suites include air-conditioning, heating and overhead fans, direct-dial telephones, a minibar, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a mini-safe, and optional satellite television and DVD player.
